We designed our timers to be fast, accurate and easy to use, on any device you have. While they start instantly with with minimal setup, they also include a wide range of advanced features for users who rely on timing work, study, fitness, cooking, presentations, classrooms, and everyday things.
We've been developing timing tools for over 20 years. In 2026 we improved our timing engine, expanded alarm options, improved audio handling, added full resizing support, and enabled web-based sound file support. Light and dark modes are fully supported. Below is a summary of key features . . .
Core Timing
Direction
Timers automatically count up or down based on start and stop values, removing the need to manually select a mode.
Range
Timers support a wide range from -99:59:59 to +99:59:59 and can run through zero for flexible pre-count and post-count timing.
Accuracy
Timing is based on real elapsed time rather than interval loops, ensuring consistent accuracy even when the browser is busy or paused.
Time Entry
Time can be entered in multiple formats including hours, minutes, seconds, shorthand values, and keypad-friendly input styles.
Alarms & Audio
Alarms
Choose from a library of built-in sounds or use a web-accessible MP3 file as a custom alarm. Sounds can also be repeated multiple times.
Audio Engine
Our audio engine provides precise playback control, reliable timing, and adjustable volume.
Looping
Timers and alarms can be looped for repeating alerts at the interval you set.
Auto Restart
Timers can automatically restart after completion for repeated cycles or interrupted workflows.
Display & Interaction
Resizable Display
The timer display automatically scales to fit the browser window for optimal visibility.

Time Formats

Timer Title

Tab Time
Current time value and timer title appear in the browser tab once the timer starts. Turn off the TitleTime setting in Advanced Settings if you would rather they did not appear in tab.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Start, stop, and reset actions can be controlled using customizable keyboard shortcuts.
Advanced Features
Save Timer Setup
Timer configurations can be saved and shared via a URL, allowing instant reuse or sharing of custom setups.
Sharing
Saved timer links can be shared so others can instantly load identical timer configurations.

Light and dark modes can be switched instantly for comfortable use in different environments.
Chroma Key Support
Custom background colors allow timers to be used in video production with chroma key workflows.
