Free Online Alarm Clock
Most alarm clocks do one thing: ring at a time you set. This one does considerably more. Set up to 25 alarms throughout your day, each with its own time, sound, volume, color, and title. The clock display changes color and label as each alarm fires — so at a glance you know not just what time it is, but what this part of your day is for.
And when something comes up mid-day and you just need a reminder in 20 minutes — don't reach for your phone. Type 20 and the alarm clock handles it. That's the Ping Me feature, and once you use it, you'll wonder how you managed without it.
What to Use It For
A single alarm clock that structures your whole day — or just catches the one thing you can't forget:
- Daily work schedule — Set alarms for your morning start, meetings, lunch, afternoon break, and end of day. Each alarm changes the clock title and color so your display always reflects where you are in the day.
- Class and teaching schedules — Teachers and schools have used our alarm clock for over 20 years to manage class periods, passing times, and lunch. Set up a full day of bells with custom sounds and colors, save the link, and reopen it each morning with one click.
- Workout and interval training — Set alarms for warm-up, work intervals, rest periods, and cool-down. Loop a sound through a rest interval, or fire a sharp alarm to signal the next set. The clock keeps the structure so you can focus on the effort.
- Medication and health reminders — Set alarms at consistent times each day for medications, supplements, hydration, or posture breaks. Save your setup as a bookmark and it's ready every day without re-entering anything.
- Cooking and kitchen timing — Need a reminder in 12 minutes to check the oven? Type 12 and the Ping Me alarm handles it instantly — faster than any phone app and without leaving what you're doing.
- Focus and productivity sessions — Set alarms to bound your work blocks and breaks. A color change and a chime signal the transition without demanding your attention — the clock does the tracking so you don't have to.
- Time zone display — Use the time adjustment feature to shift the clock display by up to 23 hours in either direction. Keep a second browser window showing London, Tokyo, or wherever your colleagues are without a separate tool.
- Quick one-off reminders — Call back in 10 minutes, check the upload in 7, leave for the meeting in 45. Type the number and you're done. The Ping Me alarm appears under the clock display and disappears once it fires.
Alarm Clock Features
Built for a full day of use, not just a single wake-up call:
- 25 scheduled alarms — Each alarm has its own time, display color, clock title, sound, repeat cycles, and volume. Set a color and title per alarm and the clock display transforms at each transition — visually marking each part of your day without any extra effort.
- Ping Me instant reminders — The fastest way to set a reminder you'll ever use. Type a number and the alarm is set — 20 sets a 20-minute reminder, 930 sets an alarm for 9:30, 8pm sets one for 8 o'clock tonight. No dialogs, no navigation, no phone required. One ping at a time;setting a new one replaces the current one.
- Color-coded alarm display — Assign a distinct display color to each alarm. When the alarm fires the clock shifts to that color automatically — a visual signal that's readable from across a room without reading the time or the title.
- Next Alarm display — A line beneath the clock shows the time and title of the next upcoming alarm. If the next alarm is 4th Period at 9:00 AM, the display reads exactly that. Turn it off in Basic Settings for a cleaner look.
- 50 alarm sounds — Choose from 50 built-in sounds and tunes, or link to any audio file accessible on the web. Each alarm carries its own sound and volume setting — a gentle chime for a break, a louder bell for the end of a session. Set a sound to loop continuously until the next alarm time by entering Loop for the cycle count.
- Flexible time display — Show or hide seconds, AM/PM, colons, leading zero, and 12 or 24 hour format. The clock adjusts its display size automatically as you add or remove elements — more on screen means smaller digits, less means larger. Scale further with the Time Size setting from 35% to 300%.
- Keyboard shortcuts — Escape stops any alarm sound immediately. S toggles seconds on and off — useful for watching the exact second for an auction bid or a trade, then hiding them again for the rest of the day. Backspace or X cancels a pending Ping Me alarm.
- Save and share your setup — Configure your full alarm schedule once, then save it as a bookmarkable URL using the create link icon. Reopen it each day with one click. Share the link with a colleague or a class and they load the identical setup instantly.
- Works on any device — Fully resizable across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS in any modern browser. Scale the window up for a shared display, or run it in a corner of your screen for a personal reminder clock.
Alarm Clock — Common Questions
How do I set an alarm?
Click the Alarms button under the clock display to open the Alarms Schedule. Enter a time in any natural format — 2pm, 14:00, noon, 930 — and select a sound. That's the minimum. From there you can optionally add a display color, a clock title, repeat cycles, and volume for that alarm. Everything saves automatically as you type.
What is the Ping Me feature?
Ping Me is a two-keystroke instant reminder — the fastest way to set a one-off alarm without touching your phone or opening an app. Just type a number: 20 sets a reminder in 20 minutes, 45 sets one in 45 minutes. Type a clock time like 930 or 8pm and the alarm fires at that time. The ping appears under the clock display and disappears once it rings. To cancel it early, type X or press Backspace.
Can I have different sounds for different alarms?
Yes. Each of the 25 alarms in the schedule carries its own sound, repeat count, and volume setting — completely independent of the others. A gentle chime for a break, a louder bell for the end of a session, a looping sound through a transition period. You can also link to any web-accessible audio file for a sound that isn't in our built-in library of 50.
Can an alarm change the clock display color and title?
Yes — this is one of the most useful features for structured schedules. Set a color and title for each alarm and the clock transforms automatically when that alarm fires. A blue display labeled "Focus Time" shifts to green labeled "Break" at the right moment — no action required, the clock does it for you. Alarms don't require a sound; a color and title change alone is a valid alarm.
Will the alarm sound if I switch to another tab?
For reliable alarm playback, keep the alarm clock visible in an active browser tab with the window not minimized. Browsers may throttle or mute background tabs, which can affect sound — important to know if you're relying on the alarm to interrupt your work at a specific time.
Can I show a different time zone?
Yes. Open Basic Settings and use the Time Adjust control to shift the displayed time by up to 23 hours forward or back. Run the alarm clock in a second browser window set to a colleague's time zone and you have a persistent world clock alongside your own.
How do I save my alarm schedule for tomorrow?
Click the create link icon in the action bar to generate a link with your full setup encoded — all 25 alarms, sounds, colors, display settings, and everything else. Bookmark it and your alarm clock is ready each morning with one click. Share the same link with anyone who needs the identical schedule.
